Huh... This is a pretty cool photo.
After a while the detail in the skin becomes very intriguing; and it's nice to see an eye close-up where the iris is stark, but it's not the only thing in focus. Like once you've become bored with looking at the glowing eye, the skin around it offers something interesting to examine. In most eye photos I've seen, the skin surrounding is smooth and flawless - here they've got the look of somebody who's weathered and wizened :huggle:
Is this somebody close to you? (If you don't mind me asking.)

Thanks. I like this shot a lot myself. =)
Yeah, it's not my eye, obviously.
One of my older friends posed me for this.
That's why I left the skin un-edited; it show the person has lived a long while and is still here.
I value the time I have left with her. =)

No worries. That's a very sweet reason to leave it that way Blush
I, myself, have only just begun grasping the idea that you can make friends, lasting friends, outside of your age group. And this has only happened within the last month, so it's still fresh on my mind. I feel it's a wonderful thing to have the opportunity to walk alongside people who stand on different planes to yourself ~ there's so much to learn, especially from our elders, and people have so much to teach. Youth today, I find, struggles to see the worth in that.
It's good to see you acknowledge the friendship you share :thanks:

I love making friends with people of all ages, I always have.
Now my friends are somewhere between 15-65 years old,
though I must admit I make friends easier with people who are older than myself. =)
It feels like there is more to talk with them than people of my own age.
